At the Gymnasium

At the Gymnasium Biology and Geography are introduced as new subjects from Year 5 onwards, the subjects French and History from Year 6 and Chemistry and Physics from Year 7.

In Years 5 and 6 there is still free work, however this is mainly orientated towards project work. One group works on a topic such as world religion, while another group works on eras in history and a further group on the topic of vertebrates.

Each project is documented and concludes with a presentation.
In the higher classes, projects are often offered in study lessons.

In the course of a school year, during free work, project work and in lessons, the students learn an increasing amount of competence in various methods, i.e. learning skills to be able to acquire knowledge individually and present it in a clear and competent way.
